Kuva, a resource easy to obtain but hard to accumulate. Here you have all you need to know about Kuva farm, Tenno
Since the discovery of the Riven Mods, the Warframe universe has experienced a huge revolution. There are few Tenno who do not know them and are aware of their existence. It’s hidden power is able to… Bah, for sure you already know it, and if you don’t, here you have all you need about Riven Mods.
Let’s get to the point, Tenno.
There are a few places where you can obtain Kuva, a scarce resource at best. The difficulty is not in obtaining it, but in accumulating enough amount to be useful. Reroll a Riven Mod until you get the stats which turn it into an incredibly powerful one can cost a real fortune if we are talking about the Kuva you need to do it.
Here we are going to show you all places where you can Farm Kuva, even if only briefly, so you can choose the best one. We sorted this places form lower to higher amount of Kuva, you can go directly to the end of the list if you want, but I recommend you take a look at all of them.
In some Bounties you can get this resource as a reward by finishing the different stages of a Bounty. The amount vary according its difficulty, here you have a list with the different amounts you can obtain.
Bounty Level | Kuva Quantity | Drop Chance |
---|---|---|
4 | 100 | 15% |
5 | 300 | 5% |
Tavenui is a Survival mission in the Kuva Fortress where you can Farm Kuva. The amounts will depend on your skills and resistance, because to Farm Kuva in this mission you have to pick up Kuva Catalyst and install them in the Life Support Capsules to turn them into Kuva Harvesters.
When you do that you must protect the Harvester until it finishes to extract Kuva, something a little complicated to achieve with all those Grineer trying to kill you and destroy the Harvesters before they finish the job.
If you successfully defend them, each Harvester will give you 200 Kuva, if it is destroyed in the last second… you get nothing. So make sure you defend them until the end.
The risk here Tenno, will be the choice between using the Life Support Capsules as Harvesters or using them to be able to breathe. Is your choice, although being realistic, the risk is worth it. A squadron that knows how to act can last hours farm Kuva in this mission.
An option to improve Kuva farm in this mission will be having in your squad Nekros and Hydroid focused on obtaining Life Support modules from the enemies. Meanwhile Frost and Rhino focus on resisting and defending the Kuva Harvesters from countless enemy waves. This strategy could give you good results. I am sure there are more options, Which one do you prefer, Tenno?
You already have noticed that the Kuva Fortress moves around all Origin System. Each time is near a planet you can see that some missions change and appear marked with the Kuva red symbol.
In the Kuva siphon missions you will have to achieve two things, complete the objective of the mission (whatever it is) and also destroy the Kuva Siphon. To be able to destroy it you must destroy the 4 Braids the Siphon has, absorbing with the Operator the Kuva clouds before they are consumed by the Siphon.
You have to do it all this while you resist against an important number of enemies who will do everything on their hands to stop you.
The amount of Kuva you will get in these missions will be about 600, slightly varying in each case.
Kuva Flood is one of the best mission for Kuva farm, although it has its risk obviously. The mechanics are exactly the same that the Kuva Siphon mission. But in this case the difficulty increases exponentially.
You will see a symbol which differentiates these missions from the Kuva Siphon ones. It is three Kuva tears forming three red blades.
The enemies you will face will be level 80-100, which makes it more interesting. But is also true that can be a nightmare for those of you with less experience. Do not be afraid of it, make sure you have a warframe able to resist huge amounts of damage and your best weapons, you are going to need them, Tenno.
The amount of Kuva you will get this time will be about 1200, but may vary in greater or lesser quantity.
The last way to obtain Kuva is finishing the three missions of the Daily Incursion. Is entirely a matter of luck the fact that you receive or not the 6000 Kuva (14%), although finishing alive is already an achievement you will have to earn.
Let’s start with the gear I recommend you to use on these missions. Warframes like Rhino, Frost or Chroma can greatly increase your survival chances. Being Rhino and Frost also useful for Crowd Control.
Any Melee, Secondary and Primary weapon with high damage and/or area effect will be very useful to eliminate quickly with huge amounts of enemies or with specially tough enemies. I put here some examples I like to use in this cases. But remember that there are many option and depend on your preferences and your playstyle.
Let’s go now to explain some useful strategies which can be interesting to obtain more Kuva on each mission.
In the first place is going through the Kuva clouds with the Operator instead of shooting it with the AMPs or the energy beams. The amount of extra Kuva is very little (about 100 per mission) if you eliminate all Kuva Clouds this way. But we are talking about Kuva, everything counts, Don’t you think?
The second strategy is equipping a Kavat Smeeta with the Mod Charm. This way you have the chance to double the Kuva amount at the end of the mission. This happens when you are blessed with the good fortune of your Smeeta at the moment you destroy the Kuva Siphon.
Is true that this is something that happens very rarely, and it depends in something which are beyond your control, but keeping in mind the reward, is worth it.
The last option you have to double the Kuva amount at the end of these missions (including Taveuni) will be using a Resource Booster (orange ones). The good thing about this booster is that it stacks with Kavat Smeeta strategy, being able to obtain a very high amounts of Kuva per mission.
And finally, I am going to talk the Kuva Guardians you will face (Also known as “Fatties”, you will figure it why). You will soon notice that this enemies are invulnerable and cause havoc there where they pass.
To eliminate them, first you will have to disarm them to make them vulnerable to your attacks. To do it you simply have to “run over them” with your Operator using “Void Dash”. Then try to finish them as soon as you can attacking them with all you have. Easy, Right?
This should be enough to make the best choice about Kuva farm. Do not despise any option shown here and try any strategy you think can be useful.
If you know any other option, see any mistake or you think that are missing information, let us know through the comments below.
Always one step ahead, Tenno
