Basic Mods: Melee Weapons
A dull blade means death on the battlefield, Tenno. To help you with your first steps in Warframe Universe, here you have a guide about the basic mods for melee weapons
Give e a sec please…Clank! Clank Clank!… Huh, finally! Hey, How are you? This time we are going to talk about the basic mods for Melee Weapons, the mods I’m going to mention can be installed in any melee weapon.
First we have the mods which increase basis stats of melee weapons, like Damage, Critical Damage, Critical Chance, Attack Speed and Reach.
First mod, Pressure Point increase Basis Damage independently of its type so it will be one of the most important mods in any build. It increases damage from 20% to 120% on its maximum rank, and its cost goes from 4 to 9 when it’s maximized.
True Steel will increase the Critical Chance, something important in many weapons depending on its basic stats. It increases it from 10% to 60% on its maximum rank, costing 4 to 9, if it’s maximized.
Organ Shatter mod will increase our Critical Damage multiplier from 15% up to 90%, while its costs grows from 4 to 9 in its maximum rank.
To increase Attack Speed, you can use the mod Fury. This mod will increase the Damage Per Second (dps) caused, and it goes from 5% to 30% when it’s maximized. The cost rises from 4 to 9, at its minimum and maximum rank respectively.
Finally, Reach mod will boost the Range of your Melee weapon from 15% up to 60%, and cost will also grow from 4 to 7 when it is maximized.
There is also four basic mods which add Elemental damage to melee weapons, Heat, Toxin, Cold and Electric. These Elemental Damage mods are:
Molten Impact to add Heat damage.
Fever Strike which adds Toxin damage.
North Wind for Cold damage.
And the last one, Shocking Touch, to add Electric damage to melee weapons.
The value on their minimum rank is 15%, and 90% on their maximum rank. The costs of these mods goes from 6 to 11 if they are maximized. Damage and cost values are the same for all four mods.
Do you know that any Elemental Damage mod can be combined to create other Elemental Damages?
Summarizing, Pressure Point, True Steel, Organ Shatter, Fury and Reach, will increase our Basis Damage, Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Damage Per Second (dps) and Range, respectively. If we add any of the Elemental Damage mods I have mentioned previously, we will increase even more our melee weapon total damage.
