Hunting the Eidolon Teralyst
Here we are Tenno, ready to hunt the Eidolon Teralyst. I can asure you, even the reward you get defeating this fearsome Sentient war machine is worth it, the risks are huge. But here you are, gearing up to battle.
The Eidolon Teralyst
This is an enemy you can face if you want, being Rank 0, but you can only be crushed without mercy at this point. It will be like dust specks in the armoured hull of a Formorian Balor.
This is the most powerful enemy you have faced, a clash only available to the most expert Tenno, the so called veterans.

Before the Confrontation

The Eidolon Teralyst is an enemy you can only face, with a minimal chance of success when you overcome two Quests, “Saya’s Vigil” and “The War Within”. When you complete these two Quests, you can enter in the room where Quill Onkko is waiting, on Cetus.
Quill Onkko will give you your first AMP, a weapon which can only be used by your Operator that channels Void force in a destruction beam. This is the only known weapon capable of weakening the Energy Shield of the Eidolon Teralyst.
The Eidolon Teralyst Stats
Let’s see the stats of this enemy, because knowing it as well as itself is the first step to defeat it.
This information will help you to decide what build you need to defeat the Eidolon Teralyst. Knowing that its shields are only vulnerable to the damage dealt by the Operator AMPs, let’s see the kind of damage you deal with your weapons
The most effective build is the one based on Radiation Damage (Fire + Electricity), because both Alloy Armour and the Robotic Body are vulnerable to this kind of damage.
Another important fact about the Eidolon Teralyst is that it is NOT affected by Status Effects, so the damage you are interested in is not the specific damage (slash, puncture, etc.) but the total damage they inflict to enhance their Elemental damage, making the most of your weapons.

Alloy Armor 300 |
Robotic 100.000 |

The Paths to Success
There are two different paths to face the Eidolon Teralyst, being the second one complementary to the first. Regardless of these two paths you have to know that there are 3 clearly differentiated phases in the confrontation:
- The first one is to weaken its shields to let the Eidolon weak spots unprotected. You have to do this, at least, five times during this combat.

- The second phase will be to break the weak spots or “Teralyst Synovia”. There are four in total, one in each limb.

Each time you weaken its shields and break a Teralyst Synovia, it will unleash an energy wave capable to end all life in seconds. The only way to avoid a certain death is, either going out of its area of effect (70 meters approximately), or use your Operator to hide in the Void (left CTRL) until the energy wave passes.ase.
- Finally, when the four Teralyst Synovia are destroyed and you have weakened its shields for the fifth time, you can attack the Eidolon’s Head, finishing with it and getting your more than deserved rewards.

First Path: Defeating the Eidolon Teralyst
Before reaching this point you should decide if you want to defeat or “capture” the Eidolon Teralyst. To defeat it you have to repeat the previous phases I mentioned and finally take the Eidolon down. It seems simple, and in theory it is, but do not confuse “simple” with “easy”, Tenno.
The biggest inconvenience this path has is that each time you break a Synovia, the Eidolon Teralyst will “teleport” to another place. Normally to a very far and unknown place. You can detect it from higher positions and for the blue energy glow you can see when it reappears.
Second Path: Capturing the Eidolon Teralyst
The second path, a little more complex, consist in “capturing” the Eidolon. To do that you have to make sure of two things, having close to the Eidolon enough Eidolon Lures, and having a Trinity Warframe in your squad to avoid these Lures form being destroyed.

These Eidolon Lures are essential to “capture” the Eidolon, to do that you they have to be charged with energy. This energy is extracted from Eidolon Vomvalysts. You know when they are fully charged because they begin to glow intermittently.te.

If you have them fully charged when you break the Teralyst Synovia, the Lures will link their energy with these weak spots. This way you will prevent the Eidolon from fleeing, being able to continue the fight immediately without wasting any time.

Each Lure can link with two weak spots, so you need at least two Eidolon Lures working to be able to capture it. My advice is the more you have the better.

Eidolon Lure Map
We have created the following map of the Plains indicating the locations of the Grineer Camps and the number of Lures you can find in each one of them. I hope you use it and it helps you.

If you reach to the end of the fight with the Lures linked, you will have managed to “capture” the Eidolon, and I can assure you it will be worth it when you see the rewards. We talk about them below.
Path to Success: Recap
To sum up, the two paths I have talked about are complementary, being the second the most effective one because you don’t waste your precious time looking for the Eidolon each time you break a Synovia.
To do that you need, at least, two Eidolon Lures and a Trinity Warframe in your squad focused on restoring the Shields and Health of the Lures and the rest of the Squad.
Rewards:

- Four Exceptional Sentient Cores.
