It seems Vay-Hek doesn’t give up. This time he has thrown an organic curse over the Plains of Eidolon, beings who seems out of your worst nightmares, the fearsome ghouls. These abominations have plagued the Plains of Eidolon and are terrorizing the Ostrons. It’s time to stop this madness, Tenno.
The appearance of this beings in the Plains greatly concerns Konzu, the leader of the Ostrons, because they are one of the biggest threats Cetus has ever known.
In his desperation, Konzu has not hesitated to ask Lotus for help, who is mobilizing all Tenno in the Solar System to finish as soon as possible with this terrifying threat.
As you can see, a progress bar will appear in you Navigation Menu. Lotus has calculated Vay Hek’s ability to produce Ghouls in his cloning labs, so if you reach 100% this problem will be eradicated.

Both bounties have 4 stages, with different objectives each one, being able to receive any reward from the previous lists when you complete each stage, it works like the regular Level 3 Bounties.
Hunter Mod set, this mods can only be obtained as a reward from this Event.
This Hunter mod set is the same set you can obtain in the previous Plains Event, Plague Star.
Two new weapons have been introduced and they can only be obtained in this Event.
A compact Grineer submachine gun. This secondary weapon has a very high Fire Rate and an extended magazine, as well as a high Critical Chance and Critical Damage.
A compact Rifle, accurate and lethal. It is able to shoot four projectiles simultaneously, to this we must add a high Critical Chance and a good Critical Damage. All this makes the Quartakk an efficient annihilator gun.
This Encrypted Journal Fragments have information about the origin and the creations of the Ghouls. There are 13 different parts, and to complete the information they have you will need to obtain 4 Fragments for each part.
This means you need 52 Encrypted Journal Fragments to reveal all the information.
Until now there are five different Ghouls, being one of them the “Alpha”. Their minds has been so deformed and mutilated that their animal instincts are the only thing left. They move in huge groups, forming herds up to 50 individuals, and each herd is directed by an Alpha Auger Ghoul.
Their instincts makes them bury themselves underground, waiting in ambush for an unsuspecting prey to enter in their deadly trap. When this happens, the Ghouls will jump out and charge into combat instantly, leaving only a few seconds to react.
These are all Ghouls known so far:
He wields explosives in each arm which explode when hitting his victim, damaging both his adversary and himself. Shooting this explosives will amputate his limbs, causing him a horrible death.
His madness has reached point where he is unable to contain himself for a second. They are the first to enter combat, driven by their dementia and hunger for blood. They wield a buzz saw capable of shredding enemies.
Among all ghouls he is the one who stands out, either for his huge size, his aggressiveness or his enormous strength. He has a reactor attached on his back and charges into battle, sweeping away both friends and foes indistinctly. Besides, he has spiked hands implanted directly in his bones, able to tear apart almost anything (alive or not) in a few seconds.
This Ghoul wields two modified drill with flamethrowers. It seems crazy (and it is), but I can assure you this is real. He charges into combat driven by his modified legs, or digging a tunnel to attack from below.
Alpha Ghouls: The herd leaders, and if the Ghouls only respect violence and brutality, you can imagine about how a bunch of them became alphas of these mutated and deformed beasts. Alpha Ghouls are three times tougher and more lethal than the rest. Be careful out there, Tenno.
It seems that all Ghouls has the same weak spot and you can take advantage of it. His flesh and genetic structure, mutated and transformed by the demented Vay-Hek, are very vulnerable to Viral Damage.
When you kill these enemies you can obtain a series of rewards including Mods, and Endo. Among them stands out the new Stance Slicing Feathers for the Warfans, and the Quartakk Rifle Blueprint, which can be obtained form the Alpha Ghouls.
We still don’t know if the Ghouls only appear in this event or if Vay-Hek have created them to terrorize the entire Solar System permanently. So, we advise you to take advantage from the Ghoul Purge Event to obtain the weapons as well as the new stance mod “Slicing Fans”.
That’s all we can tell. We hope this information is helpful for you. As always, if you see a mistake or missing information let us know through the comments below.
¡Drive those ghouls back to hell, Tenno!
