With the Standing Points you get you can buy, form the merchant Nakak, Special and Rare Resources, Special Arcanes, unique Zaws and some exclusive Mods to your Sentinels. All these objects are part of what the Ostrons call “Operational Supply”.
Plague Star is a unique opportunity that arises form a critical situation for the Ostrons. In exchange for your help, they put at your disposal resources and equipment which will help you in your path.
To be able to acquire this Special Equipment first you have to obtain Standing Points completing the Plague Star Bounty Konzu offers. This Standing Points act as a currency, just like the Ostron Standing Points, and you can spend them talking with Nakak in Cetus Market and choosing the option “Operational Supply”.
This stage consists in stealing the Thrax Toxin Canister from Vay Hek. To do that you have to go to a Gineer camp that you can access from the caves. In this camp you have to find the Thrax Toxin Canister and extract it.
Now you have to mix the Toxin. To do that you have to go to a mixer, a machine that will serve you to obtain an enhanced version of the Thrax Toxin. This machine takes 3 minutes to complete the mix you need to poison the Infested Boil. During these three minutes you have to defend the mixer from Grineer soldiers and Infested alike.
After you obtain the Enhanced Toxin, now you have to put it in a Drone which function is to introduce the Thrax Toxin in the Infested Boil you find in the center of the Plains.
Once the enhanced Toxin Canister is placed on the drone, it will begin to move towards the Boil. You have to defend the drone from Grineer soldiers and Infested until it reaches its destiny.
The last stage is to purge the Infested Boil with the Toxin. When the Thrax Toxin takes effect, the Boil will begin to expel Infested Pods which unleash a chaos of infested monstrosities that you will have to obliterate. Each Infested you eliminate will add a 2% to the purge progression, so you have to eliminate 50 infested to be able to end this fourth and last stage.
You can enhance the Thrax Toxin with two Special Resources:
These two resources, the Eidolon Phylaxis and the Infested Catalyst are used as Tools and, thus, you have to equip them through your arsenal to be able to use it.
Moreover, this two objects can only be used when the Mixer is active. To do that you have to stay near the machine, press the Tool key (Q), and select these two resources.
SPOILER ALERT: HEMOCYTE & HUNTER MODS
The Infested Catalyst, when mixed with the Thrax Toxin and applied to the Boil by the dron, will cause the manifestation of an Hemocyte, an Infested creature very similar to Lephantis which many of you will know from the Orokin Derelict.
In the mixing machine can be applied up to 4 Catalysts, each one will cause the appearance of an Hemocyte, so if we apply 4 Catalysts, the consequences will be… dangerous.
But all danger implies a great opportunity, and this is one of those times, because the Hemocyte will grant us a unique Resource, the Hemocyte Cystolith, besides a new Hunter Mods Set.
If you choose to take this huge risk, you will also be rewarded with extra Operational Supply Standing Points you can spend in Nakak store.
We explain all of this with more detail in the new entry “Plague Star: Hemocyte & Hunter Mods“.
Once you finish the Plague Star Bounty you have to go back to Cetus, to repeat the Bounty or to speak with Nakak and buy the Special Equipment from the Operational Supply he offers in his Store.
We hope this information is useful for you. As always, if you see any mistake or missing information let us know through the comments below.
